End of term report

Upholstery classes ended today.
We all worked much harder than usual trying to get help on the bits we don’t understand before being on our own until late January. I have some homework that I may know how to do… And we enjoyed a shared lunch to kick off the festive season – though I must say it seemed far too early to be wishing people a Happy Christmas!

Same here - we're having our book group 'do' tonight. Thankfully I think I've declined the Christmas turkey option.

The word check today is ho-ing! As in ho-ho-ho-ing! hahhahahahah

I am so jealous...an upholstery course is something I want to do when I no longer have to work....I have about 3 chairs that really need 'doing' and quite fancy myself with staples and glue and fancy material!

I'm with Libby - I would love to have time to do upholstery and have a couple of projects that could do with some tlc. One day ...!

Oh projectforty, it's definitely too early for turkey!
Libby you mustn't mention staples anywhere near my teacher, you might be shot!
I am loving the upholstery, the sense of achievement when I've given something a new lease of life. I suppose if I had paid work I could get someone else to do the mending?

Upholstery? How wonderful. I did some donkeys years ago and loved it. I would very much like to do it again.

I had my first Christmas turkey last Thursday 1 December which is way too early! The next one is next Thursday...

Thank you for your visit to my place.

I wouldn't plant my arse on something like that, it doesn't look nearly sturdy enough. Whatever ever became of the pouffe? The pouffe had some meat on it.

Wow, this is incredible that you are doing this, you're going to save yourself so much money. Can't wait to see the end result. Also love those British chairs that are traditional with a really funky fabric
